The New Philadelphia Band Booster Association would like to invite any person who is interested in supporting the instrumental music department to become a booster member.

Booster membership is NOT required to attend our monthly booster meetings or volunteer, it is, however, required to serve as a Trustee and/or vote in our annual elections or for any issues that may be brought before the general membership for approval.

Band booster membership dues are non-refundable.

Our monthly booster meetings are held the first Thursday of the month, August through May, at 7:30pm. Meetings are held in the High School band room unless otherwise specified.

What We Do

The Band Boosters are the primary source of funding for the NPHS Marching, Symphonic and Jazz Bands, Steel Drum Band, and Kaleidoscope Winter Guard.

We support these groups through two types of fundraising activities:

• Fundraising with student participation

• Fundraising with Parent/Volunteer participation

Fees & Student Fundraisers

Each student is charged a Marching Band fee to cover the cost of Band Camp. There is also a cost for Kaleidoscope. The Winter fee helps cover the costs to participate in contests. Students have the opportunity to earn credits to offset these fees through fundraisers.

Each year a number of students have been able to cover ALL fees through these fundraisers.

Fundraising Opportunities Throughout the Year

Student Fundraisers include...

  • Director Discount Cards

  • Holiday Fruit Sale

  • Spring Flower Sale

  • Other Booster Sponsored Opportunities

Fundraiser handouts and the Wednesday Handout will outline the opportunity for credit for the fundraiser. Most are 25% of the student’s sales go towards their fees except for the Director cards, where 50% credit goes towards the student seller’s fees.

Other Fundraising:

  • Dine To Donate: Requires no student or parent volunteer work, just watch for Information in your student’s Wednesday Hanout, present the flyer provided in the handout, and enjoy your meal while also supporting the NP Band Boosters!

  • Other Opportunities May Arise: Watch for information in the Wednesday Handout and on the band socials for other opportunities that may arise besides the annual ones listed above. There have been many opportunites over the years that have benefited the Boosters and sometimes gone towards band fees. Examples of fundraisers have included: Chicken BBQ, Steak Fry, and Bingo, and even a country music concert featuring CMA Award Winning Artist Garry Morris!
